Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru and a mixed martial arts athlete fighting for the UFC for the Flyweight Division. She is an Kyrgyzstani. She is also the elder sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champ and co- UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sports journey with an Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimity. Antonina later won a Silver Medal in 2007 and a Bronze Medal in 2008, a Gold Medal in 2011 and in the IFMA Amateure Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia started her professional career in 2003, and she won an award at the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's last fight was at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She was victorious by an unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko recorded her debut professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova in the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She won this fight with a TKO in round 2. Her following two matches were staged at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to focus on kickboxing. She made her comeback with a win against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui with an unanimous decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in an unanimous vote. She left in 2018 the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body during the final clinch. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina received an UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight after winning the first bout by a unanimous decision. Antonina bounced back from losing to knock out Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
